Brasmar Group increases its share capital in 9,95 million euros
Brasmar Group SGPS increased its share capital in 9.95 million euros. After this operation, the holding constituted in March 2019, which merged with Brasmar – Comércio de Produtos Alimentares, S.A., now has a share capital of 10 million euros.
“It was a share capital increase made in kind. The shareholders remain the same. We rearranged the social participations”, explained Paulo Braga Lino, CFO of the Vigent Group, to Hipersuper.
Brasmar increases its portfolio of assets
During the last years, Brasmar has been increasing its portfolio of assets. The company acquired 50% of the Norwegian company Aalesund Seafood, in 2015, for example.“After the acquisitions made over the last years, we decided it was the moment to rearrange the participation structure of the Brasmar Group”, said Paulo Braga Lino regarding the constitution of the Brasmar Group.
The Group’s Board of Directors is comprised of six members: a chairman, a vice-chairman and four board members. Sérgio Silva, president of the Vigent Group, occupies the same functions in the SGPS constituted in March. The vice-president is Andreas Pelaez Collado.
In May 2019, Brasmar acquired the Spanish company La Balinesa. Foncasal was acquired in July 2019. “The fact of having more companies in the perimeter, also led us to reorganise the participations”, concluded Braga Lino.
